As Hedef Association, we undertake an important mission to change the lives of people struggling with thirst in many countries in Africa. With the support of our volunteers from Turkey, we have opened water wells in countries such as Burkina Faso, Chad and Mali, providing people with access to water. In this way, we make people’s lives easier and become a beacon of hope.
Some parts of Africa have been struggling with thirst for many years. Especially in desert and arid regions, water resources are very limited and people have great difficulties in accessing clean and potable water. In order to combat these difficulties and support people, we opened water wells as Hedef Association.
People in Burkina Faso, Chad and Mali have access to water
With the support of our volunteers, people in countries such as Burkina Faso, Chad and Mali have access to clean water. Water wells facilitate people’s access to clean and potable water, while also providing significant economic benefits by supporting activities such as agriculture and animal husbandry.
Our water well projects are carried out in cooperation with local communities. This ensures the sustainability and long-term impact of the projects. In addition, water wells are regularly maintained and repaired, thus extending their lifespan and ensuring a continuous supply of water.
The water wells we drilled in Burkina Faso, Chad and Mali have changed the lives of many families. Children no longer have to travel long distances in search of water and can get a better education. Women are able to develop their own skills by using the time they spend carrying water more efficiently.
With the drilling of water wells, health conditions have also improved significantly. Increased access to clean water prevents the spread of disease and helps people live healthier lives. Water wells also provide water for livestock and support animal husbandry.
